We now understand that cancer is not one disease but many, and that for example breast cancer and lung cancer should be treated differently. However, it now looks like things are a lot more complicated than that: cancer could indeed be thousands of different diseases.
Is Cancer classified as a virus or a disease?Cancer is a disease in which some of the body’s cells grow uncontrollably and spread to other parts of the body. Normally, human cells grow and multiply (through a process called cell division) to form new cells as the body needs them.
Why is cancer is considered a disease in the cell cycle?Cancer is a disease in which affected cells are multiplying uncontrollably. Your body looses control of those cell's cell cycle, and is therefore unable to stop them from multiplying.
