Rare white-lipped deer spotted in NW China nature reserve
Jan 31, 2021 · Jan 31, 2021 · About 100 white-lipped deer, also known as Thorold's deer, were recently spotted on the Qilian Mountains in northwest China's Gansu Province. The deer, distinguished by the white lower lips, is a threatened species under first-class state protection in China. Normally, they live in areas 3,600 to 4,100 meters above sea level.
